What’s inside

Six chapters, one point of view.

Not a portfolio in PDF form. A short, practical guide to how I think about identity, print and motion — with the decisions behind six real projects.

01A clear idea, first
The test I apply before any visual decision: can the idea be said in one sentence? If not, the logo is not the problem yet. This chapter covers brief-reading, positioning and the questions worth asking before opening Illustrator.
02Identity systems
A logo is one asset. A system is what lets a team make a hundred correct decisions without calling the designer. FISWWAG and Evrythn Digital are used to show how colour, type, spacing and rules become a usable language.
03Place & story
The Aburi Botanical Gardens mark began with the Akuapem hills, a palm and a cocoa pod. This chapter is about making an identity that could only belong to one place — and why that is usually stronger than making it generic.
04Print & packaging
Menus, labels and stickers live in the real world: steam, sunlight, thumbs and printers. The Sisters & Spice menu is the case study for designing for the counter, not the mockup.
05Editorial & cover
The Perfect Man needed a cover that promised tension without explaining it. A look at cropping, type placement, colour and the discipline of leaving something out.
06Motion & teaching
The free design course on YouTube changed how I explain the work. This chapter covers simple motion, editing rhythm and the value of teaching the craft in public.
“Good design is a clear idea, executed with care.”

Studio notes

Three things I keep coming back to.

01 / Clarity

Clarity before decoration.

A beautiful thing that cannot explain itself is an expensive problem. Start with the sentence, then make it visual.

02 / Systems

Systems over one-offs.

The deliverable is not the poster. It is the set of rules that lets the next ten posters happen without me.

03 / Craft

Print still matters.

A screen is not the only place the work lives. Stock, ink, scale and finish are part of the idea, not the afterthought.
